CPI(M) Releases Booklets on Four Years of Modi Govt’s Misrule

CPI(M) brought out four booklets which describe the ‘Four years of Modi Government’s misrule’ and ‘why it has to end’. Releasing the booklets on June 1, a press conference was held at the CPI(M) headquarters which was addressed by Sitaram Yechury, general secretary  and Brinda Karat, Polit Bureau member of the CPI(M).Sitaram Yechury while introducing these booklets stated that this government must go as it has mounted unprecedented burdens on the people. The conditions of the common people have deteriorated very badly in these four years.

Kerala LDF Govt Cuts Fuel Prices

WITH the prices of petrol and diesel skyrocketing and reaching the highest ever levels, the Kerala government has decided to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel by Rupee 1 in the state from June 1. With this, Kerala becomes the first state to announce a cut in fuel prices.Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, while making the announcement on May 30 said, "This will amount to a loss of Rs 509 crore for the state government. This is our message to the central government.

Big Win in Chengannur

THE CPI(M) leader and LDF candidate Saji Cherian has won the Chengannur Assembly by-election by a big majority of 20,956 votes. This is the highest margin of victory ever recorded in this constituency.Saji Cherian polled 67,303 votes as against his nearest rival, the UDF candidate who got 46,347 votes. The BJP candidate came third with 35,270 votes with around 7,000 votes less than what he polled in the 2016 Assembly election.
