West Bengal State Conference: Mobilise Discontent to Build Up Intense Struggle

THE 25th state conference of CPI(M) West Bengal committee has called upon Party workers to strengthen links with people and build up movements on people’s issues. The conference noted that discontent of the people against the TMC regime in the state was growing, creating new possibilities of resistance. The Party has to utilise the opportunity and develop struggles on achievable demands.

Bihar State Conference of CPI(M)

THE three day 22nd state conference of CPI(M) was held at Madhubani (Comrade Umesh Chandra Das Nagar) from March 9-11. Madhubani has been a bastion of Left movement for a long time.The conference started with a big mass meeting in the heart of the town in a school ground which was filled to its capacity. Rural women participated in large members.Party Polit Bureau members S Ramachandran Pillai, Brinda Karat and Hannan Mollah, addressed the gathering.

Kerala State Conference: Marching Forward in Unity

THE Kerala state conference of CPI(M), a prelude to the 22nd Party Congress, has culminated after scripting a new history of unity and a great advancement for the mass movement. Thrissur, the city of Pooram, has witnessed people turning up in lakhs for the public rally on February 25, the culminating day of the conference.In Kerala, the right-wing forces are trying to impose their agenda on the society and their primary goal is to destroy the Left movement.

Telangana State Conference of CPI(M): A Conference of Confidence

NALGONDA was the epicentre of the Telangana Armed Struggle which brought to fore the land issue.  Nalgonda which had a background of Left struggles and strong Left movement hosted the second conference of CPI(M) Telangana from February 4-7, 2018. A huge rally led by the red-shirt volunteers preceded the inauguration of the conference.The conference began with the hoisting of the red flag by Kunja Bojji, former MLA and senior leader of CPI(M), at Comrade Narra Raghava Reddy Nagar on February 4.

CPI(M) Chhattisgarh State Conference

THE sixth state conferene of CPI(M) Chhattisgarh committee was held from February 1-3, 2018 at Bishrampur in Surajpur district. It gave a clarion call to defeat BJP and to strengthen the organisation and expand mass struggles to establish Left as the alternative political force in the state.  The conference was attended by 101 delegates, including four observers and eight women.The conference started on February 1 with a massive and colourful tribal rally and a public meeting at Hospital Grounds. The dais was named as Comrade Fidel Castro Manch.

TAMIL NADU: 21st State Conference Concludes With a Call to Strengthen CPI (M)

THE 21st Tamil Nadu state conference of the CPI(M) began with veteran leader of the Party as well as of the communist movement of the country, Comrade N Sankariah hoisting the flag, which was brought from Keezh Venmani in memory of Venmani martyrs.Torches in memory of Coimbatore Chinniyampalyam martyrs and the legendry communists M Singaravelar, B Srinivasa Rao and VP Cintan brought from various parts of Chennai were also handed over to the leaders.The conference which was held from February 16-19 was held in Chennai. K Bhimrao MLA, chairperson of the reception committee welcomed all.

It was the first state conference held in India, before the 21st Congress of the CPI(M) to be held in April 2015 at Visakhapatnam.The conference began with an impressive public meeting at the Ramlila Ground of Raisingh Nagar.
