Google and IBM Fight on Quantum Supremacy

GOOGLE’S quantum supremacy claim has now been disputed by its close competitor IBM. Not because Google’s Sycamore quantum computer’s calculations are wrong, but because Google had underestimated what IBM’s Summit, the most powerful super computer in the world, could do. Meanwhile Google’s paper, which had accidentally been leaked by a NASA researcher has now been published in the prestigious science journal Nature.

Condemn Badal Chowdhury’s Arrest

CPI(M) Polit Bureau has issued the following statement on October 23THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the arrest of Badal Chowdhury, leader of the CPI(M) in Tripura, while he was in the ICU of a private hospital in Agartala.The BJP state government has levelled false charges against Badal Chowdhury concerning his tenure as the PWD minister, in the Left Front government, in the execution of certain projects. KERALA: CPI(M) Workers Arrested in Murder Case Acquitted; Real Culprit Nabbed after 25 Years

THE real culprit in a political murder case has been nabbed by the Kerala Police after a long span of 25 years, exposing the clandestine operations of the police during the UDF government headed by Congress leader late K Karunakaran. Eleven CPI(M) workers and one dissident Congress worker were arrested and jailed in the killing of RSS worker Sunil Kumar on December 4, 1994. The main motive behind the arrests was political vendetta of the Congress.
