Postpone Finalisation of HDMP & NDMH

CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, urged prime minister Narendra Modi to postpone the finalisation of the Health Data Management Policy (HDMP) and the National Digital Health Mission (NDMH) before parliament concludes its consideration on the Personal Data Protection Bill 2019.While the government sought comments on the HDMP by September 3, Yechury urged the prime minister to postpone the date for final comments.

Create a Contingency Fund for COVID-19: Yechury

WHILE placing the decisions of the Polit Bureau meeting, which was held at New Delhi on March 14-15, Sitaram Yechury, general secretary of CPI(M) demanded creation of a ‘national contingency fund’ to meet the challenge of COVID-19. He said the spread of COVID-19 is a serious situation and as pointed out by some of the ICMR sources, it has already entered the third stage in the country; the results, if proper procedure is not followed, could be horrendous, he remarked.

CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury and Polit Bureau member Brinda Karat released a booklet prepared by the Party on Kashmir, titled ‘Fraud on Constitution: Kashmir Betrayed’. The booklet was released at a press conference held on August 22. It traces the history of Jammu and Kashmir and its accession to Indian Union. The booklet dispels the misinformation campaign and obfuscation of facts by the government on Jammu and Kashmir.
